Weight loss diet

Are you following a healthy and balanced weight loss diet? If not start it today.

Following a healthy diet for obese people is the most important thing. With exercise, you can positively reduce your weight, but at the same time if you do not follow a proper diet, the weight reduced will be of no use.

Proper diet implies balanced diet, the one comprising of every important nutrient needed by our body. But most of us think that an obesity diet will be a tasteless and boring one. But it is absolutely wrong. Several different recipes and foods are available including fresh fruits, green leafy vegetables, fish, whole grains, seeds and low fat dairy products. Foods seasoned with herbs and spices prepared in a healthy manner are consumable and delicious too.

Does fasting helps to lose weight?

More often than not, many people think that to be on fasting is the way to lose weight. We must be aware of the fact that weight loss diet does not mean to be on fasting. Eating is a must, but it must be with low calorie. Avoiding food can result in some gastrointestinal problem, mainly gastric ulcer. Fasting for reducing fat quickly is not a good practice. Although fasting once a week is considered highly beneficial in the treatment of obesity. You can have fresh fruit juices and vegetable soups on those days. Also crash diets are no solution for long term weight loss.

Does stress play a vital role in weight gain?

Stress is often the cause of bad eating habits. When stressed or anxious, many people become orally fidgety. Sometimes this leads to nail biting or teeth grinding, and often it leads to eating when not hungry. Many people, out of nervousness or boredom, just munch on chips or drink soda to give their mouths something to do. Stress needs to be reduced, as stress is often the cause of bad eating habits. You can do this by practicing breathing exercises and pranayams.
