Parvatasana strengthens upper-back muscles with spine stretch. It improves shoulder flexibility. The abdomen, pelvis and side muscles are stretched up and hence get toned. Parvatasana helps to reduce fat from the abdomen, tummy, hips and the waist. Spine stretch relieves the lumbar and cervical pain.
1) Sit in sukhasana.
2) Raise your hands upward to touch them in the style of namaskar.
3) Hold the posture with normal breathing and count as suggested.
4) Then get back to normal position as in step (1).
