How to cure neck pain?

Neck pain exercises are simple which will help you to restore your range of motion, increase strength of the neck muscles and reduce stiffness of your neck. At work place and also at home, check the height of your table along with the design of your chair. It is important to have the correct height of monitor, desk and chair if you work at computer. During neck pain, carrying overweight is strictly prohibited along with forward bending. Pillow should be avoided while sleeping. Improper sleeping posture causes neck pain. Stress also plays a role in worsening of neck pain. You have to get rid of emotional instability with meditation, pranayam and breathing techniques.

Physiotherapy or Yoga along with exercise is prescribed by the doctors depending upon the physical condition of the patient. If the pain is acute, neck collar or traction may be given. In special cases, application of short wave diathermy, ultrasonic ray, and infrared ray can be done. Application of hot water is also very helpful for severe phase of neck pain. Hot shake increases the blood circulation in case of stiff neck pain. You can apply wet towel in the pain area.

Try to alter your body position while working in a stressful environment. Stressful situation can lead to headache, depression and low energy. Get up from your chair and take a short walk at least once an hour. This can charge you up with lots of positive energy.
